NHU helps bring solar to Ledge View
New Holstein Utilities recently donated funds to Ledge View Nature Center near Chilton for construction of a solar tracker unit. A solar electric tracker unit was installed this summer at Ledge View Nature Center near Chilton, thanks in part to a donation from New Holstein Utilities (NHU).
NHU donated $2,000 toward the $37,000 cost of the unit, which tracks the sun and moves as the sun moves across the sky throughout the day.

If you go to the 2010 Calumet County Fair and take in the amusement rides, the musical entertainment at the pavilion and special events at the grandstand, you will have consumed only part of fair.
There is much more to see and do. It is worthwhile to pay attention to the junior exhibitors such as the 4-H kids and FFA members.

New Holy Rosary Church dedicated in '60
1960 was a banner year for Holy Rosary Parish as the new church was completed and dedicated on Nov. 27.
The church shaped in a cruciform was very unique to the area. Although the entire church is rich in symbolism, the stained glass windows are a symbolic highlight. The windows are indicative of the thought and religious fervor that went into the planning of the entire church.

Dog, owner found by NHPD
UPDATE: New Holstein police reported later Friday morning that this dog and its owner have been located.
The New Holstein Police Department took a report of a dog bite that occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 8:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
