To the editor:

There is a clear choice in the candidates for town chairman in Brothertown.

The current chairman, Chuck Schneider, has done a great job since taking office. Most people don't realize how much time it takes to do that job well. Since Chuck is retired, he can devote the many hours a week the job requires. He has tackled several difficult issues, including budget restrictions, a poor relationship with Calumet County government, and a divided community because of the wind turbine issue.

He has always tried to be fair to all interests while keeping the best interests of the entire township in mind. There are a few individuals that feel they can impose their will on the rest of the community, regardless of the consequences. Chuck has been a stabilizing influence and focused on keeping Brothertown as a great place to live and preserving its rural environment. He also understands that Brothertown is not the right place for 50 or more 500-foot wind turbines because they will ruin the quality of life for residents of this area.

We are supporting Chuck Schneider for town chairman in Brothertown.
