BREAKING NEWS: All 3 Kiel public schools evacuated Monday because of bomb threat

All three Kiel Area School District schools—Zielanis Elementary School, Kiel Middle School and Kiel High School—have reportedly been evacuated as of Monday, May 23 at around 12:45 p.m. because of a bomb threat.

District Superintendent Dr. Brad Ebert shared the following message with parents:

“I am writing to share with you that we just became aware of a bomb threat against our middle school. We immediately evacuated the middle school and also evacuated the elementary school and high school. At this time, local law enforcement is working through the situation and investigating the threat.

“I wanted to get this message out as quickly as I could and I will share more information as quickly as I can.

“We are not in the buildings right now so we are unable to answer any phone calls.

“Please know that all students and staff are evacuated and safe at this time.

“Thank you, and I’ll send more information as quickly as I can.”

Fire trucks are currently blocking the streets outside Kiel Middle School.
