Chilton Walmart event this Saturday to feature newly remodeled store

Chilton residents soon will get a first look at the newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter at 810 S. Irish Rd. as the project is now complete.

This remodel is part of Walmart’s estimated $150 million investment in Wisconsin this year to update and remodel 28 stores.

This Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Chilton store will host a celebratory event open to the public. The event will take place in the store parking lot and will feature various vendors, a local DJ and games. There also will be snacks and beverages provided as customers are invited to look in at the new store improvements.

During the Chilton event, donations will be presented to the following:

The Hilbert Wolves

Stockbridge School District

Chilton School District

Marytown Athletic Club

Open Cupboard Food Pantry

School Hill Athletic Club

Benefit for Sara Kilbey

Calumet County Horse Promoters

Adam Horst Memorial

Chilton American Legion Auxiliary Unit #125

The remodels include several department transformations which will help customers save time.

“We know that our busy Wisconsin customers want a fast and easy shopping experience,” said Christopher Wenger, Sheboygan Walmart store manager. “Our team is excited to provide many ways to help our customers including moving our Online Grocery Pickup area to a more convenient location and adding additional associate-operated checkout lanes.” 

Customers also will see the following store improvements:

• new $1 Shop area at the front of the store;

• new Grab & Go Lunch area at the front of the store;

• online grocery pickup is being moved to a more convenient location;

• new signage to better assist customer shopping patterns;

• additional associate-operated register lanes;

• new flooring throughout the store.
