Kiel Middle School students combine literacy with food trucks

Kiel Middle School students enjoyed a “Literary Food Truck Festival” last Thursday which included two actual food trucks set up in City Park across from the school. Students got to sample Caribbean and Thai foods. The students also had designed food trucks based on books they had read, including coming up with menus of food items. Students then went around to view the make-believe food trucks and report on which ones sounded like something at which they would like to eat.
