The world has changed in the past six months, but the AFS USA mission remains the same: “Create a more just and peaceful world.”

People in Chilton have been carrying out that AFS Mission for over 50 years. They will again this school year, but the format may be a bit different.

COVID-19 has affected everyone in a different way. For AFS, all AFS high school foreign exchange students in the U.S. ended their program early. The students started to return to their native countries in March. That was true for Chilton’s own AFS student Silvia Usai from Italy hosted for the year by the Jay and Amanda Diedrich family.
