Disabled children invited to sign up to meet Santa in Chilton on Dec. 4

The Chilton Optimist Club will be hosting a free Meet and Greet Santa event on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Chilton City Hall, 42 School St.

Unique to the event is that it is strictly for children with disabilities and their siblings. The children will have an appointed time to meet with Santa (10-minute increments), thus no waiting in line and no noisy crowds that can be overwhelming for the children. A volunteer photographer will be on hand to capture pictures of Santa and the children as they share their wish list with him. Santa also will have a bag of goodies for the children as they leave.

To make an appointment for the event call Mary Pagel, 920-849-9714. Deadline to register is Dec. 1, but parents are urged to call as soon as possible to secure a spot.

The Chilton Optimist Club is a local nonprofit dedicated to “Bringing out the Best in Kids” with a variety of educational and athletic activities as well as community service programs.
