Homecoming events planned for this week

New Holstein High School will celebrate Homecoming Week this week, Oct. 4-9.

Some of the daily events at school are as follows:

Monday, Oct. 4—Dress-up day is Tropical Monday and there will be a slushie eating contest at lunch. Halls will be decorated in the afternoon.

Tuesday, Oct. 5—Dress-up theme is Western Day with a pie eating contest at lunch.

Wednesday, Oct. 6—Today is Class T-Shirt Day with a run to lunch. After Shave Volleyball will happen from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the gym with the Powder Puff football game at 7 p.m. Admission is $3 or two canned goods for local food pantries.

Thursday, Oct. 7—Dress-up theme is White Lies. Stuff the stall will be the lunchtime competition.

Friday, Oct. 8—Dress-up theme is Red and White Day. The Homecoming Parade is scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m. It will go north on Plymouth Street and turn right on Pleasant Avenue, then east on Pleasant to Washington, left on Washington to Illinois and then back to the athletic field. The public is welcome and encouraged to watch the parade.

A pep rally then will take place on the athletic field.

The Husky football team will take on conference leading Sheboygan Christian/Lutheran/Kohler starting at 7 p.m.


The Homecoming Dance is planned for Saturday, Oct. 9 from 7:45 to 11:30 p.m. with the theme “Halloween Town.” Crowning of the king and queen will take place at 9:30 p.m.
