At its 59th Virtual Annual Membership Meeting on April 13, members of Premier Financial Credit Union elected two local citizens to two open positions on the Board of Directors.
Philip Vergowe and Jared Roeck were elected to those positions.
Vergowe has served on the board since 2003. He was elected by the directors to serve as Treasurer.
Roeck has served on the board since 2013.
Other members of the Board of Directors are Mary Jo Muellenbach (chairperson), Jerome Ausloos (vice chairperson), Sandra Burg (secretary), Kathy Billmann and Tom Mueller.
The credit union’s directors (unpaid volunteers) are elected from among the credit union’s membership by other account holders, each of whom has one vote regardless of account balances or loans.
Because credit unions have no shareholders, local citizens are elected to credit union boards to look out for the best interests of the account holders. Premier Financial officials said board members put people before profits and fulfill a mission of improving the financial position of the citizens who use the credit union to borrow and save.
Premier Financial Credit Union has offices in New Holstein, Kiel and Chilton.
