Salaries, benefits OK’d by Common Council

At the Nov. 3 meeting of the Chilton Common Council, action was taken on multiple resolutions relating to salaries and benefits.

A three-year agreement was approved between the City of Chilton and The Chilton Professional Police Association Local #471 and the Wisconsin Professional Police Association with dates effective Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2024. 

Ordinance 1174 was approved, establishing salaries for city officials. Included in this ordinance is the compensation for the director of public works, with an annual salary of $77,000; the Mayor with an annual salary of $5,000; and compensation for the alderpeople at $45 per meeting. Ordinance 1175 was approved, establishing salary and benefits for the Chief of Police with an annual salary of $92,780. Ordinance 1176 was approved, establishing salary and benefits for the police captain with an annual salary of $74,613.
