Snowmobile safety class set in Kiel

A snowmobile safety course is being offered starting Tuesday, Nov. 3 in the Kiel High School cafeteria.

The class will continue the following two Wednesdays as well, Nov. 10 and 17, starting promptly at 6 p.m. and concluding at 9 p.m. Parents are reminded to please be prompt when picking the students up after class.

For more information in regard to classes please contact one of the following instructors: Wayne Miller at 920-286-0441 or Brian Woelfel at 920-286-2709.

Participants will learn safe and responsible snowmobiling from Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) certified instructors.

A new requirement is that all Wisconsin Recreational Safety students are required to obtain a Wisconsin DNR Customer ID Number before the completion of any Recreational Safety Class. The number is the same for hunter safety, ATV safety, or boating safety if people have taken any of these courses. Students will be required to provide that DNR Customer ID Number along with their personal information to the instructor. People can obtain a DNR Customer ID Number by calling WI DNR Customer Service at 1-888-936-7463 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily, or they can visit a WI DNR Service Center during their regular scheduled hours. For WI DNR Service Center hours and locations go to www.dnr.wi.gov/org/caer/cs/ServiceCenter.
