At the Aug. 18 regular meeting of the Chilton Common Council, Director of Public Works Chris Marx reported that the reconstruction of the State Street project will be completed on time.

Marx also reported that concrete has been laid for sidewalks and driveway aprons. Asphalt tie-ins to the adjacent streets also are completed.

In other DPW notes, Marx noted that the Water Department has completed the in-street valve maintenance for the season and have moved on to perform water meter testing. The Wastewater Department is currently investigating phosphorus removal options, as it relates to new upcoming and stringent requirements.
