Tecumseh demolition ceremony—open to public—planned for Friday, Aug. 13

A public ceremony to kick off the demolition of the former Tecumseh Products Company building in New Holstein is scheduled for this Friday, Aug. 13 starting at 10 a.m.

The City of New Holstein, through the support of design and engineering firm Stantec, recently awarded a contract to Veit & Company, Inc. to demolish the former Tecumseh industrial buildings. Pre-demolition abatement activities have been initiated with demolition scheduled to begin in mid-August.

For the ceremony this Friday, there will be a designated area for the public outside of the fenced-in area on the property at the corner of Jefferson Street and Taft Avenue.
