Benjamin Dowland

Benjamin “Ben” F. Dowland, 46, of Madison, formerly of Mount Calvary, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Madison.

Ben was born March 19, 1975 at St. Agnes Hospital to Carol (Blonigen) Dowland and the late Jeffrey Dowland.

He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1993. Ben was known as a “Jack of all Trades” and a true free-spirit.

Survivors include his mom, Carol Dowland; his sister and brothers, Chad (April) Dowland of St. Peter, Nicole Dowland of Madison, and Tony (Breyn) Dowland of Mount Calvary; his favorite nieces, Chloe, Charlotte, Amelia, Camryn, and Haddie Dowland; his special friend, Cheryl Bradley; and uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Preceding Ben in death were his father, Jeffrey Dowland.

A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 at Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein, 2618 Altona Ave.

Family and friends may visit with Ben’s family at the funeral home in New Holstein on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
