Gary Neuber

Gary G. Neuber—“Big Gare”—57, of Hortonville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 surrounded by his family following a strong fight against brain cancer (glioblastoma multiform).

Gary was born April 11, 1963 in Chilton to David and Sharon (Leitner) Neuber. On Oct. 31, 2009 he married Cindy O’Brien. They had 11 wonderful years together. Gary loved his job at Pierce Manufacturing as an alignment technician, where he worked for 33 years. Above all Gary was a family man. He adored his wife, Cindy, and was very proud of his two sons, Brandon and Dillon, for serving in the U.S. Navy and for the wonderful men they became. Gary also loved his wiener dogs, Leinie and Bailey. He was a huge fan of all Wisconsin sports, his favorite being the Badgers. Gary spent his summers at his camper in Flannigan’s Pearl Lake Campground in Red Granite. His travels with WAPL International Incident were special to him and he made a lot of good friends on these vacations. But Gary’s all time favorite was eating, drinking, and talking about food. He was an excellent cook and baker!

Gary is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons Brandon (Jillian) and Dillon Neuber; parents David and Sharon Neuber; stepdaughter Mandi (Tim) Groeschel and their children, Kaila and Austin; stepson Roger Brabender; siblings Terri (Mike) Mader, Vicki (Dave) Halbach, David (Elizabeth) Neuber, and Jim Neuber; Brandon and Dillon’s mom, Julie Neuber-Wacek; and brothers and sisters-in-law Dennis O’Brien, Debi (Dave) Witt, and Jimbo (Sandy) O’Brien. Gary is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by Cindy’s parents, George and Boots O’Brien; and a nephew, Koley O’Brien.

The visitation for Gary will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville from 3 until 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
