Gregory Stemper

Gregory Stemper, 63, of East Moline, Illinois passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a bench along the river to be dedicated in Greg and Serenity’s name.

Greg was born July 3, 1957 in Plymouth, the son of Gordon and Marlene (Heatherington) Stemper. He married Cindy Sears in 1986 in Moline and together they had one son, Adam. Greg was a calibration technician and business owner. He was a big classic Mopar fan and rebuilt over 30 of them. Greg also enjoyed fireworks, going to yard sales, shooting firearms, and most of all spending time with his granddaughter, Serenity, and his son.

Survivors include his son, Adam (Megan) Stemper of East Moline; granddaughter Serenity Stemper; siblings Alan Stemper of New Holstein, Paula Stemper of Oak Creek, Janine Lackman of North Carolina, and David Teckam of California; and parents Gordon and Anna Mae Stemper of New Holstein.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Heatherington.
