Janet Polster

Janet L. Polster, 89, formerly of Kiel, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at Sheboygan Senior Community Center.

She was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Green Bay to the late Robert and Adelia (Hacker) Kloehn. Janet graduated from Brillion High School and went on to receive her degree from the Sheboygan Business College.

On Oct. 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Louis Polster. Janet and Louis were blessed with two daughters, Jayne (Stephen) Scheuren and Cinda (James) Pennings. Louis preceded her in death on June 27, 2009.

Janet’s family was her pride and joy. She cherished the time she spent playing cards and creating lasting memories with them. She also enjoyed knitting, sudoku and word searches.

Janet is further survived by five grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Walters, Shelby (fiancée Jacob Miller) Pennings, Joseph Pennings, Joshua (fiancé MicKenzie Meissner) Scheuren and Jacob Scheuren; two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Oaklynn Walters; brother-in-law Clarence (Barbara) Polster; sisters-in-law Kathleen Otto, Serena Polster, Joyce Polster and Luanne Polster; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis; brother Robert (Helen) Kloehn; brothers-in-law Gordon Polster, Henry Polster, Allen (Yvonne) Polster, Paul Polster, DeLyle Polster and James Polster; and sisters-in-law Adeline (Walter) Wagner and Marion (Clarence) Wagner.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27 starting at 6 p.m. at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, with the Rev. James McKenzie officiating. Burial will take place in Kiel Cemetery. Relatives and friend may visit with the family on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Janet’s name.
