June R. Rotzien, 97, of Chilton died Aug. 16, 2020 at Libby’s House in Chilton.
She was born June 24, 1923, daughter of the late Paul and Martha Schroeder. On Nov. 7, 1942 she married Leslie Rotzien in Michigan City, Indiana, and together they had one daughter.
June was a homemaker while Leslie ran their farm, although she did have to wash the milk machines for him twice a day. She started out as a “city girl” in Indiana before the couple moved to Wisconsin. She became a member of the Homemakers Club of Chilton and even served as president. She was a terrific cook and good mom. She was an avid bowler and truly enjoyed the game. When they finally sold the farm, she and Leslie took a camping trip to Alaska, and they camped in Florida every year. The couple was married 72 years at the time of Leslie’s passing.
June is survived by her daughter, Lesley, of Chilton; granddaughter Carole (Will) Burns of Keller, Texas; great-granddaughters Emily and Sarah; a sister, Ruth Reid, of Downers Grove, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
