Monica Horst

Monica F. Horst, 84, of Millhome passed away of natural causes on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center - Sheboygan County.

Monica was born on June 28, 1938 in Plymouth, daughter of the late Henry “Hank” and Marie (Becher) Meyer. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School. On Jan. 9, 1960 she married Robert Horst in Plymouth.

Monica was employed with the Kiel Record as well as Ungrodt Law Office until her retirement. Together with Bob, Monica enjoyed camping with friends, traveling as well as snowmobiling in winter and being an active member of the Louis Corners SnoBirds. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved to make memories with her family.

Monica is survived by her husband of 62 years Bob; two sons: Mike (Judy) Horst of Kiel and Jim (Mike Lasser) Horst of Milwaukee; daughter-in-law Lisa Horst of Kiel; grandchildren Joshua Horst, Jake (Ashley) Horst, Chelsea (Matt) Burris, Matt (Shana) Horst and Nick (Kendra) Horst; and seven great-grandchildren: Ari, Elise, Emma, Lyla, Maci, Cullen and Malcolm.

She is further survived by her nephews Bill and Chuck (Chris) Chandler; other relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Steve; great-granddaughter Makenzie; and sister-in-law Audrey (Roger) Chandler.

Per Monica’s request, cremation has occurred and no public services will be held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Aurora Medical Center - Sheboygan County, Field of Dreams and Heartland Hospice for the care given to Monica over the years.
