Roy Klessig

Roy R. Klessig, 88, of Chilton died on Oct. 18, 2020 at Willowdale Health Services in New Holstein.

He was born Aug. 20, 1932, son of the late Elmer and Clara Klessig.

Through the New Hope Center in Chilton, Roy was able to work in many industries in the area, but his favorite job was sorting nuts and bolts. He worked until his 83rd birthday before retiring. He was a happy-go-lucky fellow who loved wearing bib overalls and riding his bike all over Chilton. Any food he tried was his favorite, especially butterscotch candy. He collected watches, loved playing checkers, and enjoyed old-fashion movies and television. He was a fanatic about history and numbers, and he could recite every verse of every nursery rhyme.

Roy is survived by special friends Byron and Judy Hacker.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Clara; and his siblings, Violet, Robert, and Lincoln.

Private services have been planned.

A special thank you to Willowdale for all their kindness, care, and compassion.
