Emily Clark

The WIAA Girls Diving Sectionals were held across the state Friday night and this area has its first state qualifier.

Emily Clark of Brillion/Valders/Chilton/Kaukauna placed fourth at the Division 1 Germantown Sectional and with it grabs one of the 18 at-large spots for next Saturday's (Nov. 14) WIAA State Championships to be held at Waukesha South High School, a move from Madison's UW Natatorium due to COVID restrictions.

Clark, a senior from Kaukauna, scored 412.40 points tying her with Brookfield East freshman Clara Newman. Clark will be seeded eighth out of the 22 Division 1 divers at state.

In the Division 2 Plymouth Sectional, Kiel's Ellen Keuler wasn't quite as fortunate. Keuler scored placed ninth with 253 points and needed 359.3 to qualify for state.
