Both the boys and girls cross country teams for Chilton will have a fairly veteran look as the Tigers look to get back among the conference contenders.

The Tiger cross country preview:

CHILTON CROSS COUNTRY

Head Coach: Rocky Gozdziewski

2021 RECORD: Boys: 6th place in Eastern Wisconsin Conference Championships; Girls: 4th place at EWC…No state qualifiers.

2021 REVIEW: Bryleigh Tasch and Adahlyn Hoerl made Honorable Mention All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference for the girls while the boys had no post season all-conference athletes. Of the regular varsity runners of a year ago, Robert Kapral was the lone senior on the boys team while the girls had Sophia Billman, Teressa Gebhart and Emma Bartel.

2022 PREVIEW: Chilton boys return six of their top seven runners of 2021 in Kile Sullivan, Lincoln Kuehn, Will Fuerbringer, Noah Schumacher, Kaleb Plate and Logan Platner. The CHS girls have four returnees in Peyton Hoerth, Tasch, Hoerl and Alydia Wieting. The boys have just three seniors in Sullivan, Fuerbringer and Michael Kolinski. Coach G’s girls have all underclassmen and Gozdziewski says that two incoming foreign exchange students will provide immediate benefits for the girls who were a top four team in the EWC in 2021 and could be a surprise this fall. The boys aim to be top four this fall.
