Excitement is brewing in the Chilton/Hilbert wrestling camp as second year head coach Mike Brocker will have a veteran squad taking to the mat.

“Our aim is to be able to fill all weight classes by January,” says Brocker.

The Tigers should be among the top dogs in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference.

The Chilton/Hilbert wrestling preview:

Head Coach: Mike Brocker

2020-21 RECORD: 3-3 Conference (4th place); There was no conference tournament.

2020-21 REVIEW: The COVID pandemic stopped the Eastern Wisconsin Conference Tournament from happening, but the WIAA still managed to have a post season tournament using appropriate rules to safeguard against the spreading of the virus. Chilton/Hilbert had two wrestlers qualify for state in Hunter Heller and Reed Breckheimer. Evan Marcelle was the lone senior.

2021-22 PREVIEW: Mike Brocker had a rebuilding job ahead of him in his initial season as Chilton/Hilbert head wrestling coach and he was rewarded with two state qualifiers which resulted in his first state medalist. Sophomore Hunter Heller overcame an opening round loss to score two victories in the consolation bracket and came with a fourth place medal at 106 pounds. Reed Breckheimer went 0-2 at 195 pounds and will likely move up a weight class this season.

Also back for the Tigers are  KayDance Nolan, Kyle Propson, Alex Geiger, Ashton Geiger, Brandon Heimann, Sam Bradley, Ryan Lisowe, Phoenix Fortune and Logan See.

Chilton/Hilbert has the depth and experience to challenge defending champ Brillion and a powerful Kiel squad in the EWC.
