After not being able to find the end zone in week one, the New Holstein High School football team could not be kept out of it in week two.
Scoring from the first play of the game to one of the last plays, the Huskies rolled to a 48-15 home victory over Valders.
Sam Cady took the opening kickoff from his own 13-yard line and broke down the left sideline for an 87-yard touchdown. Kicker Faton Azemi booted the first of his six made extra points and the Huskies never looked back.
On their way to taking a 34-0 halftime lead, New Holstein got a 15-yard TD run by Cady in the first quarter, a 2-yard scoring run by Michael Volz in the second quarter, a 42-yard scoring pass from quarterback Cameron Olson to quarterback-turned-receiver for a play Henry Schnell, and finally a 24-yard scoring run by Cady late in the quarter.
New Holstein ran only two plays on offense in the entire third quarter and one of those ended in a safety for Valders, but the Huskies still led 34-2 going into the final quarter.
Schnell ran for a 55-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and Josh Rach closed out the scoring with a 2-yard TD in the final two minutes.
