The Long arm of the law. Kiel's Natalee Long puts up a shot in the Raiders' 50-36 home win over Howards Grove

Balanced scoring and solid defense helped the Kiel girls basketball team to a 50-36 non-conference victory Friday night over Howards Grove at Kiel High School.

After leading 24-19 at halftime, Kiel watched HG score the first five points of the second half to tie the game before the Raiders used a spurt midway through the final 18 minutes to forge ahead.

Emma Adleman had 12 points and Freshman Taavi Saeger 11 for Kiel.

In another non-conference game, Chilton moved to 2-0 with a 57-38 win at Sturgeon Bay.
