Kiel's Dan Schmitz catches this first quarter touchdown pass in the Raiders 20-6 win at Chilton.

Rains of the past 24 hours made Morrissey Field a bit of a quagmire, but it didn't stop Kiel as they posted a 20-6 Eastern Wisconsin Conference football victory over Chilton Friday night.

The game was delayed about 20 minutes after Kiel running back Connor Meyer was injured on a play. Kiel coach David Esswein said following the game that Meyer was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Kiel scored on its first two possessions on its way to a 13-0 halftime lead that included field goals by Ryan Freund of 29 and 40 yards, as well as a 30 yard TD pass from Carson Lepisto to Daniel Schmitz.

Chilton came out strong in the second half as a 9 play, 72 yard drive was capped off by a 21 yard scoring strike from Tyler Meyer to Lukas Halbach. A 25 yard scoring jaunt by Schmitz early in the fourth quarter sealed the Raider win.
