She’s back. And not once, but twice.

We’re talking about Kiel High School junior Ally Boyer who will return to state for the second time after a big day last Saturday at the WIAA Division 2 Plymouth Girls Swimming and Diving Sectional.

Boyer will return to state in the 100 yard breaststroke after winning the sectional meet with a time of 1:09.87. Last year at state, she took 12th place at 1:09.65. Boyer is seeded fifth this year with the top six in each event earning a state medal.

This time around Boyer swims a second event.

Before the breaststroke, the Raider takes part in the 200 yard individual medley after taking second at Plymouth in 2:18.58 and getting an at-large spot at state. She is a 12th seed in this event.

The WIAA Division 2 State Championships, due to COVID restrictions, moves from the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison to Waukesha South High School. Swimming action starts at 6 pm Friday evening.

The Tri-County News will provide updates from Waukesha via our website at and on Twitter.
