Students of Month for October announced

Students of the Month for October were recently recognized at Chilton Middle School including fifth graders Jolin Sattler and Riley Roehrig, sixth graders Jocelyn Huipe-Romero and Chase Woodward, seventh graders Molly Casper and Tony Altamirano-Albiter, and eighth graders Jolee Streit and Valentin Alvarez.

Students are recognized by their teachers for being thoughtful and helping out others when needed.

Jolin’s parents are Linda and Joe Sattler and she has a brother named Howard. She also has a cat named Kitty and a rabbit named Stormy. In addition to playing the clarinet in band, Jolin was Piglet in the school musical last year, and she is currently on the dance team. She also attends the New Attitudes Dance Company where her favorite forms of dance are jazz and ballet. In her free time, Jolin likes to knit, sew and make arts and crafts. After high school, she is considering attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay or UW-Madison where she would like to study to become a professional dancer or a teacher. She hopes to someday cheer for the Dallas Cowboys.

Riley’s parents are Trisha and Mark Roehrig, and he has two sisters, Emily and Krysta. He also has two dogs, Kiki and Nipper. In addition to playing trombone in the school band, he also plays basketball and soccer and swims for the summer swim team. In his free time, Riley enjoys playing video games and spending time with his family. Riley’s dream job is to become a biomedical engineer.

Jocelyn’s parents are Maria and Roberto Romero, and she has four sisters, Ana, Jazmin, Angeles and Lizet. She also three pets, Pandi, Isis and Brownie. Jocelyn is in the Art Club at school, and at home she likes to make hats for her little sister. Jocelyn plans to get an after-school job when she is in high school, and hopes to have a good job when she grows up.

Chase’s parents are Britney and Andy Woodward, and his siblings are Marley, Chanel and Izzy. He also has a pet named Ellie. Chase said he really enjoys being on the football team, where he plays left tackle and nose tackle. Outside of school, Chase’s hobbies include driving RC cars, racing and gaming. He also enjoys fishing and hunting with his family, and he especially loves going to Michigan and fishing at Silver Lake. In the future, Chase would love to play professional football or become a heavy equipment operator.

Molly’s parents are Jennifer and Patrick Casper, and she has two brothers, Lincoln and Garrett. She also has several pets, Meowy, Cliff, S’Mores, Peanut and Annie. In addition to playing flute in the school band, Molly is also on the Kindness Committee. Outside of school, Molly enjoys drawing, swimming and ice skating. After high school, she is interested in becoming a geologist, an artist, a photographer, a veterinary technician, or working with animal rescue.

Tony’s parents are Lupita Shymanski and Miguel Altamirano Loeza, and he has a brother named Julio and a sister named Sadie. Tony’s extracurricular activities include playing football, basketball and soccer, and in his free time he enjoys hanging out and playing sports with his friends at the park. After high school, Tony wants to play professional sports with the NFL or NBA, or become a coach for football, soccer or basketball.

Jolee’s parents are Denise and Jeff Schommer, and Brandy Osgood and Peter Streit, and she has a sister named Hannah. She also has several pets, Jaxon, Cookie, Roscoe, Maxwell and Huey. Jolee’s extracurricular activities include being in the GSA Club and playing basketball. She is also involved with soccer and softball, and she likes to bowl. Jolee’s other interests include going up north where she likes to go hunting, fishing and ATVing. She also likes doing arts and crafts, golfing, swimming, roller-blading, biking, camping, shopping, gaming and playing with her furry siblings, as well as traveling to Florida, Colorado and North Carolina to visit with family. Jolee hasn’t decided what she will do after high school, but she said she is confident she will be successful.

Valentin’s parents are Maria Hernandez and Tony Alvarez, and his siblings are Tony, Sally, Viviana and Diego. In addition to playing trumpet in the school band, Valentin likes to play football and he scored two touchdowns as a wide receiver last season. In addition to playing football and soccer, Valentin enjoys listening to music, playing video games and spending time with his family and friends. After high school, he would like to continue playing football in college and then professionally. He said he wants to make everyone proud.
